Token Graduation on MerryForge

What is graduation?

Graduation is the moment a MerryForge launch reaches its fixed raise cap on the bonding curve and migrates liquidity into an official AMM pool that is locked. After graduation, trading continues on the AMM. Locked liquidity reduces certain rug patterns but does not guarantee price, volume, or token safety.

Summary

  • Graduation is triggered at a fixed raise cap by tier
  • Liquidity migrates to an official AMM pool and is locked
  • Creator bond refund review starts after successful graduation
  • Graduation does not mean the token is safe or valuable

Graduation progress on the UI is the share of the raise threshold filled on the curve. Near-graduation lists help discovery but are not investment signals.

If a launch never graduates before deadline plus grace, it may expire: new buys close, sells into the curve may remain, and the creator bond can be forfeited to the protocol safety reserve under published policy.

Always verify pool addresses and explorer links. Only the official graduation path locks the intended LP; unofficial pairs may exist and are not the same thing.

Frequently asked questions

What is graduation?+

Graduation is the protocol transition from bonding-curve trading to AMM trading. When the launch’s raise reaches the configured graduation threshold, remaining liquidity is seeded into a pool and locked under MerryForge’s graduation path.

What are the graduation cap tiers?+

MerryForge uses fixed tiers (Starter, Community, Growth, Major) that set USDG or ETH raise caps and matching USDG creator bond amounts. Higher caps require higher bonds. Creators pick a tier at launch; they do not invent custom caps.

What happens to liquidity after graduation?+

Graduated liquidity is placed in the official AMM pool and locked so it cannot be freely withdrawn as a simple creator rug of that LP position. Secondary markets, price crashes, and other risks still exist.
