Glossary
Short definitions for MerryForge launch concepts. For full guides, see docs.
- Bonding curve
A smart-contract pricing rule that sets token price from curve supply and quote reserves. On MerryForge, launches trade on a bonding curve until graduation.
- Graduation
The transition from bonding-curve trading to a locked AMM pool when a launch’s raise reaches its fixed graduation cap.
- Raise asset
The quote currency a launch curve is denominated in—typically USDG or ETH/WETH—and the unit that counts toward the graduation cap.
- Pay asset
The asset a trader chooses to spend (or receive) in the wallet for a specific trade. Routing may convert between pay asset and raise asset when available.
- Creator bond
A USDG accountability deposit posted by a token creator at launch. Refundable only after successful graduation and review; not a guarantee of safety or value.
- Locked liquidity
AMM liquidity created at graduation that is locked so it cannot be freely withdrawn as a simple creator rug of that official LP position. It does not guarantee price.
- AMM
Automated market maker: a pool that prices assets by constant-product (or similar) math. After graduation, MerryForge launches trade on an official AMM pool.
- USDG
A USD-denominated stablecoin used on MerryForge as a common raise asset and as the unit for creator bonds.
- WETH
Wrapped Ether used on-chain for ETH-denominated raises and pools. ETH raises on MerryForge use WETH accounting in contracts.
- Slippage
The difference between expected and executed price due to market movement or curve/pool impact during a trade.
- Minimum received
The least amount of output tokens you are willing to accept for a trade after slippage tolerance. Trades revert if the route cannot meet it.
- Price impact
How much a trade moves the curve or pool price against you because of trade size relative to available liquidity.
- Bond vault
The protocol contract that escrows creator USDG bonds, handles post-graduation refund windows, and enforces forfeit or slash policy paths.
- Launch tier
A fixed package of graduation raise cap, matching USDG creator bond, and graduation deadline (plus grace) such as Starter, Community, Growth, or Major.
